‘Teen Mom’ Dad Ryan Edwards & His Ex Mackenzie Blame Each Other for Divorce Delay

Teen Mom alum Ryan Edwards and his girlfriend, Amanda Conner, are expecting their first child together. At the same time, Ryan Edwards technically remains married to Mackenzie Standifer even though she initially filed for divorce in February 2023. From his perspective, the delay is Mackenzie’s fault. Meanwhile, Mackenzie blames Ryan for prolonging their drawn-out divorce.

Ryan claims that Mackenzie hasn't filed the necessary information to move forward.

Ryan Edwards is reportedly trying to move forward with the divorce proceedings. On November 20, the Teen Mom alum filed a motion to continue, alleging that Mackenzie hasn’t provided all of the information that’s needed to move forward with their divorce proceedings, The U.S. Sun reported.

According to the news outlet, the filing states, “Due to [Mackenzie’s] failure to provide discovery answers, [Ryan] is unable to complete the requested documents in this case.”

However, Mackenzie has blamed Ryan for the delay.

While the court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun suggest that Ryan believes his ex is responsible for prolonging their divorce proceedings, Mackenzie claimed that the exact opposite is true. She told the news outlet that she wants to move forward with the divorce, but Ryan has “requested that our hearing for divorce be pushed back four separate times.”

“He has a child on the way, and is reportedly engaged to Amanda,” Mackenzie told the publication. “I wish he would be more willing to close this chapter between us and focus on what lies ahead for himself.”

Mackenzie initially filed for divorce last year.

When Mackenzie initially filed for divorce from Ryan, she also accused him of abuse and filed an order of protection. In the filing, which was obtained by The U.S. Sun, Mackenzie accused Ryan of “inappropriate marital conduct” and also cited “irreconcilable differences” as a reason for their split. According to the documents, Mackenzie chose to end her relationship with Ryan after he “became erratic and violent.”

“In light of Defendant’s criminal and threatening behavior, criminal history and substance abuse, Plaintiff is afraid for the safety and well-being of the children in his presence,” the filing stated.

That year, Ryan spent time in jail, then later went to rehab, where he met his current girlfriend, Amanda.

In March 2024, Ryan filed for divorce again.

About a year after Mackenzie originally filed for divorce, the exes’ case was dismissed because of inactivity. At the time, a clerk told The U.S. Sun that “there was never a Final Decree on this case. It sat for over 270 days with nothing filed so it was dismissed on Procedural Steps.”

On March 6, 2024, Ryan filed for divorce from Mackenzie, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Ryan and Mackenzie share two children.

The exes share children Jagger, 6, and Stella, 4. In October, Mackenzie sued Ryan for allegedly failing to pay child support.

Ryan and Amanda recently had a baby shower in celebration of their baby girl. Ryan’s oldest son, Bentley, 16, was in attendance. Bentley’s mom, Maci Bookout, also appeared to be there.
