You never know what you’re going to see when you go shopping. A video showing a young girl throwing an epic tantrum in a Walmart has gone viral. And it highlights every parent’s worst nightmare: having the kid who destroys the store. Of course, this was an extreme example as the kid was stomping on items and breaking bottles, seemingly completely uncontrollable.
From watching the video, it’s hard to tell what was happening with the child. People in the store suspected that she was triggered by something. And we never see the adults that she was likely with, which is certainly concerning.

There are no details about where the video came from.
In the video, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter), the young girl can be seen by a refrigerated case, knocking things off a small display. It seems that the video captures her mid-tantrum.
“Pov:trying to shop in Walmart,” the text on the video reads. Nothing in the video indicates who’s filming or where the store is located.
Whoever is filming always maintains a safe distance.
The girl begins throwing items off shelves onto the floor while an employee keeps an eye on her. A shopper can be heard trying to get the child’s attention as she continues to throw things.
Next, the camera cuts to the child at the deli counter, with two older women trying to restrain her. Another shopper declares that she’s “not touching nobody’s kid” as the women continue to struggle with the wiggling girl.
“Where is her mother â or whoever sheâs with?” the woman asks.
People began to speculate about what could possibly be happening with the girl.
One person can be heard off-camera suggesting that the girl may be on the autism spectrum and has been triggered by something happening in the store.
As she moves to a different display case, stomping on the items she throws to the ground, a woman stepps in to keep people from touching the child. It’s unclear if she has any relationship to the girl or if she’s just a concerned shopper. “You donât know what sheâs going through!” the woman yells.

The video shows that eventually, someone does come to get the child.
A group of employees huddle around the girl as she moved to a display full of glass bottles. While several people can still be heard in the background warning others not to touch her, she begins to throw the bottles to the ground. They shatter, sending glass and liquid across the floor.
When a man steps toward the kid in an attempt to stop her, the same woman who was warning people scolded him, saying, “Donât do that to a little girl!” She then gets closer to the girl, telling her to breathe in an attempt to calm her down.
The video ends with a different man throwing the girl over his shoulder, seeming to leave the store.
People had a lot of feelings about what they saw.
Naturally, there were thousands of replies full of people sharing their really strong opinions about the child and how she should have been handled.
“My mom would’ve busted my head if I had even thought of doing something like that. Wow!” one person wrote.
“30 years ago that girl would have been dragged to her parents by the nearest adult and likely whoooped by parents right there.”
Another person made a good point: “And NOBODY should be filming someone elseâs kid REGARDLESS of the behavior.”
