Two parents-to-be are receiving negative comments in response to their pregnancy news. OnlyFans model Scarlet Vas and her husband Tayo Ricci are expecting their first baby together. While they’re excited to welcome their baby girl, some people have been weirded out by the couple’s pregnancy updates because in addition to being husband and wife, they’re also stepsiblings.
Scarlet and Tayo tied the knot in 2023 — and at some point, two of their parents married each other as well.

They've shared pregnancy updates on social media.
In September, Scarlet shared their pregnancy news on Instagram and TikTok. Posting a video that showed a positive pregnancy test and some ultrasound images, she wrote, “Baby Ricci 🤍 Our Christmas Miracle ✨.”
On TikTok, her pregnancy announcement video acknowledged that she and her husband are also stepsiblings — and that detail garnered a lot of negative attention.
“NO WHAT THATS WRONG,” one person reacted to the baby news on TikTok.
Another wrote, “that’s messed up dudeeeee.”
Some commenters congratulated the couple, albeit a bit reluctantly.
“Ummmmm well congrats…… I’ve never been so conflicted about whether something is so right or so wrong before in my life,” one wrote.
Scarlet and Tayo are 'definitely not blood-related.'
Scarlet and Tayo became a part of the same blended family when their parents married each other. It’s not clear exactly when this happened, but Scarlet told news.com.au that she and her stepbrother/husband are “definitely not blood-related.” They met when they were 13 years old, though the exact circumstances in which they met remain unclear.
“We were about 13 years old when we first met through mutual friends, our families knew each other and they introduced us I guess you could say,” Scarlet told the news outlet. “So we’ve known each other for a very long time.”

The backlash doesn't bother them too much.
The comments other people make about their relationship don’t really matter to Scarlet and Tayo. Scarlet told news.com.au that they don’t normally read the comments people leave on their videos, but when they do, “it doesn’t affect us because we have each other.”
When they do stumble upon negative comments, they’re able to see the humor in them. “I actually laugh,” she told the publication. “We find trolls very entertaining.”
On occasion, they'll respond to the negative comments.
Since sharing their baby news with the world, Scarlet and Tayo have shared several other pregnancy updates, including videos from their baby shower.
On most of the posts, some social media users point out the fact that Scarlet and Tayo are step siblings. “She is pregnant with her step bro……… like tf?!” one person commented on one of Scarlet’s Instagram posts.
Though Scarlet and Tayo don’t make a habit of reading comments from their biggest critics, they sometimes make an effort to respond if they notice something “really negative.”
“If something’s really negative, we might comment back, we find it is quite a good disarming tactic,” Scarlet told news.com.au.
Some people have defended the unconventional relationship.
While many social media users were disturbed when Scarlet and Tayo made a video about expecting a baby together even though they’re stepsiblings, others defended the couple.
“Hear me out,” one person commented on Instagram. “What if they were already dating before their parents got married?”
Another wrote, “technically they’re not biologically related.” However, the same person admitted that the pregnancy news was “still disturbing.”
