Sometimes your body fails you, even if you’re a celebrity. During one of her recent Las Vegas performances, singer Adele told her fans all about her back problems and how they were affecting her ability to perform. She suffers from sciatica, which is a spinal condition that causes pain from the sciatic nerve to radiate through her lower back and legs. It can be a debilitating condition that causes a lot of pain and can make it hard to walk or stand.
Adele shared that her sciatica pain had caused her to fall backstage and her team had to rush to help.

Her issue sounds truly awful.
"They picked my whole body up off the floor," she said during the performance, via The Sun. "I am going to sit down and rest my sciatica," she explained.
Sitting can help to alleviate some of the pain pulsing through the lower part of the body for some who suffer from the condition, although as Harvard Health points out, it can also sometimes make the pain worse — yikes!
This isn't the first time she's suffered while performing.
Adele has been open about her back issues and sciatica in the past during shows.
She was forced to walk in a way that helped to curb the pain during her New Year’s Eve show last year. "I have to waddle these days as I have really bad sciatica," she explained to the audience.
Sciatica typically doesn't go away for good.
Working out helps to alleviate the pain, which is what Adele did, but unfortunately, that only resolved the issue for so long.
"Early on this year I started bragging about my sciatica. I wasn’t feeling it any more. Then God brought it back," she said on stage.
She admitted she's afraid to be honest about her problems.
In addition to the sciatica, Adele also told her fans that she has a disintegrated disc in her spine.
"Is anyone else kind of my age starting getting bad knees? I have got really bad sciatica in my left leg and my L5 disc is not f—ing there anymore. It's worn away," she revealed at a show back in February.

Something her son did only made her back issues worse.
In fact, she revealed in an interview with Elle that she’s had back problems since she was a teenager and motherhood only exacerbated the problems.
Her son Angelo "jumped out to scare her as she came out of the bathroom," which caused her to slip her L6 in 2021, so it sounds like Adele's been going through it when it comes to back pain.
Here's hoping she'll be feeling better soon!
